Meltdown effect on Nayanatara!

The global economic meltdown is affecting everyone. The effect of the economic crisis is being felt much more intensely in the film industry. Bollywood has decided to defer plans for big budget films. Down south, even the producers and directors are facing a cash crunch. So there may not be too many big budget films in the near future. Nayanatara is the first actress to be affected by this. She was charging about 1.5 crore per film. She is now ready to settle for one crore. But even at this rate not too many producers are coming forward. Nayanatara is now at her wits end. She is now thinking of reducing her remuneration to 70-75 lakhs in a bid to woo the producers.
